School policies cover every aspect of school life.  Below are some of our most important policies.  They are available to view or download for your reference.  If you want to know our policy on something that is not listed, please ask at the school office.

New Park Statutory Policies

The Department for Education (DfE) has updated the statutory safeguarding and child protection guidance for schools and colleges in England, Keeping children safe in education (KCSIE).

The guidance sets out what schools and colleges in England must do to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people under the age of 18.

Changes to the guidance, which came into force on 1st September 2021, include the following:

•             further information on child criminal and sexual exploitation

•             guidance on responding to peer-on-peer abuse, including sexual harassment

•             additional guidance on online safety, including remote education

•             a new section on responding to low-level concerns and allegations.

 

All New Park Academy staff have staff have had training re KCSIE in Sep 2021, in compliance with the new guidance.  A new KCSIE policy has been drafted and is awaiting ratification.
