‘Believe and Succeed’

       

Garden Competition 2018

Before the Summer holidays, New Park Secondary held a Best Garden Competition in the school courtyard.  3 Classes took part and all of them planted flowers and vegetables and cared for them until school finished in July.  The overall winners were Year 8/9 - Miss McTeigue and Cathryne's class - the gardeners were Ben, Roman, Ryan, Dylan, Conor, Dalton, Jayce, Callum and Jason and all of the staff and pupils worked hard to look after the growing gardens.

 

When we returned in September (after the lovely hot summer weather), the gardens were in full bloom as shown below.

 

We also incorporated the Bee in the City Project with the pupils designing and making paper mache bees to add colour and fun to the gardens.
