Remote Learning

Since March 2020, schools have faced an unprecedented challenge: how to safeguard the education of children and young people amid the disruption inflicted by the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, education, and the way learning is delivered, has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of remote learning, which has been a big part of the school’s response.  This involves delivering learning into the homes of those pupils who are unable to attend school as a direct result of the ongoing pandemic, and comprises a mixture of web-based activities, hard copies of learning materials, and live lessons delivered from teachers direct to the pupils in their own home. Educational Resources for Parents to Help With Remote Learning

  • BBC Bitesize Bitesize provides lessons full of videos, quizzes and practice activities to help you with home learning.

  • MyMaths Interactive maths learning - lessons, revision and homework. Each pupil has been given their own login details for MyMaths, which they can access once they have logged into the website using the school login. To access the resources on this website the school login details are: Username: newpark Password: pyramid

  • CJ's Parent Portal CJ's Education Services are providing 3 months of free access to their Parents Portal. Their aim is to support parents across the UK by providing help with home schooling which they hope will see your child develop resilience and mental and physical wellbeing all while having fun.

  • Virtual School Library Free reading and writing activities from your favourite children's authors from the National Literacy Trust.
