KS2 Mexico Project
Miss Websters Class are doing a project on Mexico. For this the pupils will be learning about the culture and tasting the native foods.
The Day of the Dead (Spanish: Día de Muertos) is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico, in particular the Central and South regions, and by people of Mexican heritage elsewhere. The multi-day holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey.
Class 2 watched the animated film Coco and made t-shirts and puppets in the style of the Day of The Dead.
Class 2 then tried various dishes from the Mexican regions which are usually hot and spicy. The pupils did very well to try the different flavours.

Today, we have been making Aztec masks out of clay as part of our Mexico topic.
